On Top

The Lady Eagles wrap up the first semester of play with a 20pt home game win against McPherson and a brutal & physical game win on the road against Bacone College. The ladies showed true UNITY in the Bacone game as 6 technical fouls were called through the course of the game 5 of which being against Bacone. However the ladies stuck together and pulled through this very physical game to come out on top.

The Lady Eagles go into the Christmas break with a record of 8-4, which ties them at the top of the MCAC conference sharing the spot with College of the Ozarks.

Lows & Highs

The Lady Eagles roll through November showing lows & highs. Playing a total of 10 games in only one month their recond stands at 6-4. With the lows being losing their first game of the season to their highs of beating rival RSU and three KCAC teams! The ladies have shown great improvement and great unity through this busy month with 8 of 10 games being on the road.

Just a few memories from being on the road: the ladies would like to say sorry to poor Bambi, which they hit with the people mover late one night on a back KS highway! And lets not forget the time we didn't close the back door on the people mover all the way....lets just say we got a phone call informing us that our bags
were being distributed along the road!

Thanks to all our supporters and hope to see you at the home game tonight at 5:30!

Right Around the Corner

As the Lady Eagles come back from a weekend of scrimmages, they will have one full week of practice before the season is underway. The Lady Eagles played against Coffeyville in their first scrimmage game Saturday, losing only by 9. Next the ladies matched up against NEO, beating them by 5 for the first time in four years of preseason match ups. Yet in the third game of the day against Ft. Smith, the ladies had a bit of trouble matching up to the athletic ability of the opposing team. The ladies took the experience gained from the long day of play and now look ahead at the season just around the corner.

The Lady Eagles will kick off their season on November 4 at 5:30p.m. against Friends University.

A season to Take Pride In

The Lady Eagles set out to turn heads and disprove preseason rankings and this season they did just that. Ending in 2nd place within the MCAC and making it to the NCCAA regional final the Lady Eagles soared passed many expectations that were laid out before the season. Ending the season with an 18-14 record the ladies now have a bit of pride going into next season. It was a hard road towards the end including two weeks on the road only stopping by home once to repack their things. However experience was gained and lessons were learned making the hard fought post season battle worth every effort. The Lady Eagles would like to thank their fans and family for all their support this season and hope to see the same next year.

The Playoff Road...

This weekend the Lady Eagles will be wrapping up their last two conference games against St. Mary's & York on the road. The week following the ladies will travel to Colorado to play their second game of regionals, trying to advance to the NCCAA nationals. The following week after that, March 1, the ladies will head back to C of O for the MCAC conference tournament where they will attempt to knock off C of O for the last time. Wish these ladies luck as they hit the road to beat the odds!
